#PomeroyMSC Lands Ngun Lian For Second Signee

SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. (Men's soccer) – Head Coach Abe Tizaf keeps fielding great players for the inaugural Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's soccer team and signs Ngun Lian to the 2017-18 signing class. Lian joins the newly formed program along with SMWC first men's soccer signee, Elias Ramsey.

"This new program is based on recruiting good players and great people. Lian combines both those characteristics and I am sure he will prosper in this program and succeed on the field and outside," stated Tizaf, "I see great potential in Lian, that he may not know yet, and my goal is to help him unveil and discover his hidden potential."

Lian is a 5-9 goalkeeper from Southport High School in Indianapolis, Ind.  As a Cardinal, Ngun was the 2016 Marion County runner up and was named Player of the Game against No. 9 Center Grove. He also played volleyball at Southport. In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with friends.

"Joining a college team has always been a dream of mine, it's an amazing feeling to join such a great college but also become part of the first ever men's soccer team," exclaimed Lian, "The college has a lot of history and I am proud to become part of it; it's campus is safe and the school is great."

Ngun is the son of Van Lian and Sang Peng. He has four siblining: Khua Tin Thang, Lian Cung Bik, Mannaseh, and Sui Mawi Sung.
