SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. (Men's Soccer) -- Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College head men's soccer coach Abe Tizaf is proud to announce the signing of Logan Thralls to the 2017-18 signing class.
"I am very thrilled to have Logan sign with our team. He is a very passionate and enthusiastic player who is continuously seeking opportunities to learn and improve," stated Tizaf. "These are some of the most important qualities I research in players. I look forward to starting this journey with Logan."
The newest addition to Pomeroy men's soccer is no stranger to The Woods as he is currently a sophomore at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. Thralls is a graduate of West Vigo High School in West Terre Haute, Ind. As a Viking, Logan was a four year lettermen in soccer, swimming, and track. He was captain of the swim team and holds records in the 200 meter medley relay, 200 meter free relay, 400 meter free relay and the 100 yard butterfly. Thralls was named All-WIC for soccer and swimming and broke the WIC record in the 200 meter medley relay three years in a row. In the classroom, Logan proved to be a star student as he was a staple on the honor roll and recorded perfect attendance for seven consecutive years. He was very active in his community and school as a member of the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods Village Youth Group, WVHS concert band, WVHS pep band, and WVHS marching band.
As a "Woodsie", Thralls is the SMWC women's soccer manager, a member of the Sophomore/Freshman Leadership Committee, and a member of the Woods Vocal Ensemble.
"I am very excited to continue playing soccer; I had thought going to college may have been the end of my life-long soccer career, but Saint Mary-of-the-Woods has opened up a new opportunity for me and many others. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods is like a second home, considering my family's history since before the college's existence," said Thralls.
Thralls is a psychology major and the son of Scott and Lana Thralls. He has two siblings, Austin and Jordan Thralls.
