SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. (Equestrian) -- Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College head hunt seat coach Tabatha Taylor is proud to announce the signing of Kathryn Deitsch to the 2017-18 signing class.
"I am very excited to be joining the team and I hope to be a contributing member to my team," stated Deitsch.
Kathryn comes to The Woods this fall from Finneytown High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a Wildcat, Deitsch competed on the hunt seat equestrian and track team and was a cheerleader. Kathryn was a stellar student as she was a staple on the A-B honor roll and graduated suma cum laude from FHS. She also won such as awards as the Difference Maker Award from the Cincinnati Museum Center (2017) and won the first, first place ribbon for Great Parks of Hamilton County, an Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) team.
"I'm so excited to have Kathryn on the team. She brings with her experience from IEA and a great work ethic," gleamed Taylor, "I look forward to watching her IHSA [Intercollegiate Horse Show Association] career unfold."
Deitsch will be an equine business management while at SMWC. She is the daughter of Dan and Lynda Deitsch and has one sibling, Spencer Drew.
