#PomeroyMG Places 6th in Program's First Tournament

FRENCH LICK, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's golf team wrapped up its first ever tournament on Sunday at the Donald Ross Course in French Lick, Ind. The Pomeroys finished sixth out of nine teams in the Franklin Intercollegiate and improved on their day one scores in the process.

The Pomeroys finished with a team card of 664 (335-329). SMWC's five freshman all performed at a high level for their first collegiate tournament and showed an ability to adapt and improve throughout the two-days and 36 holes of play.

Samuel Grimes led the Pomeroys with a 161 (80-81), while Braxton McIntyre wasn't far behind with a 164 (84-80). Justin Wilson finished with a 168 (85-83), while Blake Bennett and Jaret Morlan both finished with cards of 172, Bennett (87-85) and Morlan (86-86)
