SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. (Men's Golf) – Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's golf head coach Abe Nasser is proud to announce the signing of Benjamin Myers to the 2017-18 signing class.

"Ben Myers was a very good high school player and comes to SMWC to begin what I expect to be a successful college golf career. I look forward to the opportunity to coach this young man," stated Coach Nasser.

Myers comes to The Woods after two years at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind. Benjamin is a graduate of Terre Haute South High School in Terre Haute, Ind. As a Brave, he was a member of the golf, baseball and basketball team. During the 2014-15 school year, Myers was awarded the Terre Haute South Braves Outstanding Athlete Award (Boys Golf Low Scoring Average).

"After two years of trying to walk on to another university's golf program, it looked like golf was no longer an option for me to pursue in college. After talking with Coach Nasser in the spring of this year, that door was opened for me, " reflected Meyer, "Golf has always been a passion of mine and I am thankful to Coach Nasser and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods for giving me this opportunity when others would not. I am not only excited to join this team, but also to start up classes. I love the campus and the relaxed atmosphere."

Benjamin intends to major in human resources/business management with a minor in psychology. He is the son of Michael Myers and Denise Bledsoe-Myers and two siblings, Christopher Myers and Jessica Michael.
