SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. – Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College head men's cross country coach Zach Whitkanack is proud to announce the signing of Parker Nuest to the inaugural class of SMWC men's cross country runners at The Woods.

"I am really excited to start this new chapter in my running career at SMWC," stated Nuest.

Nuest, who will graduate from Hebron High School, is in the top 15 percent of his class and has been a standout student-athlete at HHS. He was a three time all-conference selection and regional qualifier. As a four year letter winner, Nuest also qualified for semi-state once and was named his team's MVP in 2016.

"Parker is a very successful student-athlete. He has been all-conference on numerous occasions and was his team's captain in 2016. His success on the cross country course and his leadership will make an immediate impact on the new men's cross country team here at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College," stated coach Whitkanack. "I look forward to working with Parker, and I believe his best running is still ahead of him."

Nuest plans to major in nursing and is the son of Dr. Danah Thorndyke and Shawn Nuest.
