Pomeroys Finish Fourth at Bradley “Pink” Classic

PEORIA, Ill. (Men's Cross Country) --  The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's cross country team traveled to Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Ill. for the Bradley "Pink" Classic hosted by Bradley University. This is the fourth meet for the inaugural season of men's cross country and the team improves through every race. The Pomeroys came in fourth place with 122 points and an average time of 28:41.8.

The meet was won by Greenville College with 32 points and an average time of 27:05.8. Harper College claimed second place with 70 points and an average time of 27:52.9. In third place was Monmouth College with 105 points and an average time of 28:17.2. Individually, Andrew Sharp of Greenville won first place with a time of 25:13.7.

Two SMWC runners finished in the top 20. Brady Page finished 11th with a time of 27:36.8 and Parker Nuest came in 17th with a time of 28:05.5.

Jordan Love finished the race with a time of 28:20.9 while Ethan Collin ended with a time of 29:17.2. Jacob Turner finished with a time of 30:08.6. Levi Elrod crossed the finish line with a time of 31:33.1. Thomas Shaw brought up the rear with a time of 31:57.9.

SMWC will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 21 as they travel to the St. Louis Fall Classic hosted by St. Louis College of Pharmacy. The meet is set to start at 9:45 a.m.
