Men's Cross Country Finishes 7th Behind Guido in Sodexo Invitational

FRANKLIN, Ind. (Men's Cross Country) – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's cross country team continued their season behind a stellar effort by Brennan Guido on Saturday as they competed in the Sodexo Invitational hosted by Franklin College. The Pomeroys ran hard and placed seventh overall with a score of 200 and an average run time of 30:58.58

Albion College won first place with a score of 35 and an average run time of 27:20.30. The host, Franklin, finished in sixth place with a score of 158 and an average run time of 29:38.50. Rounding out the podium was Mount St. Joseph College came in ninth place with a score of 249 and an average run time of 32:05.84.

SMWC had one runner place in the top 10 as Brennan Guido came in eighth place. Guido finished the race with a time of 27:32.40. Parker Nuest came in 63rd place with a time of 30:27.90. Nuest was followed by Jarrett Scott in 83rd place with a time of 31:29.60. Jacob Turner finished in 93rd place with a time of 32:37.80. Brady Page came in 95th place with a time of 32:45.20 to round out top 100 finishers.

Kiehl Smith, a Junior from Albion finished with the best time of 26:29.70

The Pomeroys continue their historic season on Friday, Sept. 21 as they travel back to Franklin, Ind. for the Mount St. Joseph Invite meet. The meet start time is set for 5:15 p.m.
