SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. – Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College head softball coach Mark Feller is proud to announce the signing of Katelynn Kennedy to the 2017-18 class.
"Katelynn is an excellent addition to our 2017 class," stated Coach Feller. "She is a shutdown pitcher with a strong bat and a great working knowledge of the game. We look forward to her experience and contributions over the next 4 years."
Katelynn, graduated from North Central High School in Farmersburg, and attended the University of Indianapolis for one year. While at North Central she was named All-County and All-Conference for 3 years, and All-State her senior year. She holds several North Central records including most strikeouts, most hits and lowest ERA. She also holds the Class 2A record for most strikeouts in a state championship game. Katelynn was also a member of the BETA Club, Student Council and Honor Society, and also played basketball and volleyball for the lady Thunderbirds.
"I am very blessed for this opportunity to attend and play at SMWC," stated Katelynn.
She is the daughter of Marsha and Richard Kennedy, and has 5 siblings, Brooke and Craig Kennedy, and Jason, Casey and Cody Gettinger.
