Reimer Earns USCAA All-American Honors

UNIONTOWN, Pa. – Tonight, the United States Collegiate Athletic Association announced its All-Americans at the 2018 USCAA Women's Basketball awards banquet. 5-foot-10 freshman Maggie Reimer of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College was named USCAA Second Team All-American. This is the fourth straight season in which the program had at least one student-athlete named USCAA All-American.


ALL-AMERICAN STATUS 

Reimer emerged as one of the USCAA's top offensive threats averaging 15.4 PTS/G with an incredible 46.6% shooting percentage. She grabbed an average of 6.7 REB/G and forced 1.4 STL/G. Not to mention, Reimer scored 20+ points in eight different contests and tallied three double-doubles on the season.

January 4th | Illinois Tech 13 points, 11 rebounds

January 17th | Berea College 29 points (career-high), 11 rebounds

February 24th | Robert Morris-Springfield 27 points, 12 rebounds

Fans wishing to make the trip to Uniontown, PA. can purchase tickets through the USCAA box office. All seating for the Championships is General Admission. Day passes include entry into both gymnasiums for any one day. Tournament passes provide access to both gymnasiums for all days of the tournament. Tickets are non-refundable while entry to Tuesday's skills competition 12:00 p.m. is free of charge.

The SMWC women's basketball team is not done, as they will take on Paul Quinn College in the first round of the USCAA National Champions tomorrow. Tip-off is set for 10:00 a.m. EST.
