How It Happened:
In the first quarter, SMWC and DACC were tied 15-15 after ten minutes of play. The Pomeroys defense played stout as they tallied 10 steals but struggled to break the game open offensively. In the second quarter, The Woods shot 64.3% from 3-PT land and 63.6% from the field. In result, they notched 41 points and led 56-25 at halftime. In the third, DACC came out strong but was denied the opportunity to go on a run after SMWC dominated the rebound margin and buckled down defensively. In the final ten minutes, DACC outplayed SMWC but the lead was too much to overcome. The Pomeroys have won two straight contests.
Maggie Reimer led the team with 16 points; Reimer added four blocks, three rebounds, three assists, and one steal
Avalee Jeffers notched a career-high 15 points in tonight victory; she added eight steals, five rebounds, and three assists
Montgomeree Porter scored a season-high 12 points; she tallied two rebounds, and one assist
Paetyn Hayes led the team in rebounds with six

The Pomeroys have two regular season contests remaining in the 2018-19 campaign. SMWC will travel to Robert Morris University-Springfield on Thursday, February 21st. On Saturday, February 23rd, they will return home for Senior Day as they honor Callan Taylor.
