TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's golf team finished seventh at the Rose-Hulman Invitational over the weekend at Hulman Links.
The Pomeroys recorded a 36-hole card of 739 (376-363) to finish seventh. There were 12 teams in total represented for a total of 69 players in the invitational. Sophomore Chloe Buerster again led the Pomeroys, as she turned in a 164 (81-83) to finish tied for seventh.
Sophomore Katrina Dayhuff shot a 187 (96-91) to place 37th. Dayhuff's day two score of 91 was just one shot shy of her career best as a Pomeroy. Sophomore Karlie Atkinson-Fritz shot a 194 (97-97), while freshman Elizabeth Yeazel also shot a 194 (102-92). The pair finished tied 46th. Rounding out the scoring for SMWC was sophomore Madison Summerlot with a 219 (110-109) to place 59th.
The Pomeroys will be back in action on September 27 when they head to Country Oaks Golf Course to play in the Oakland City Invitational.
