Pomeroy Women’s Golf Opens Play at Hanover Fall Invite

MADISON, Ind. (Women's Golf) – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's golf team hit the road on Saturday to compete in the Hanover College Fall Invitational. The Pomeroys finished in ninth place with a score of 379 on the first day of competition.

Leading the field after one day of play is Hanover with a score of 322. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is in second place with a score of 325. Indiana University – Kokomo finished in third place with a score of 344. Mount St. Joseph College came in fourth place with a score of 345. In fifth place is Spalding University with a score of 346. In sixth and seventh place are Manchester University and Franklin College with scores of 347 and 350, respectively. Earlham is in eighth place with a score of 368.

Alexandra Bazzani led the way for SMWC with a score of 89. Shaylyn Ehrlich finished the day with a score of 92. Karlie Atkinson-Fritz finished with a score of 98. Katrina Dayhuff and Madison Summerlot closed the day with a score of 100.

The Pomeroys will continue play on Sunday at Sunrise Golf Club in Seymour, Ind. The official start time is set for 11:34 a.m.
