#PomeroyWSOC Drops Game to Shawnee State

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (Women's Soccer) – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Pomeroy women's soccer traveled to Portsmouth, Ohio to face Shawnee State University in a Saturday match up. SMWC was defeated by SSU, 10-0.

With the loss, the Pomeroys move to 3-5. Shawnee State improves to 7-2-1.

Corre Matherly stood in the goal for the Pomeroys and came up with 16 saves.

The Bears were led by Maddie Woodard with four goals at the 12th, 21st, 47th, and 51st minutes. Other Shawnee State players that scored were: Alison Cook at the 5th minute, Syndey Payne at the 19th, Jenny Campbell at the 51st, Charity Collins at the 21st, and Emily Taylor at the 42nd.

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College will take to the pitch again for the 2017 SMWC Homecoming game against the Illinois Institute of Technology. Match time is for 11 a.m.
