CHICAGO, Ill. - The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Pomeroys women's volleyball team traveled to Illinois Tech yesterday afternoon. The Pomeroys defeated the Scarlett Red Hawks in a back and forth five-set match. The Pomeroys won set two, four and the final fifth set 16 to 14. SMWC is now 12-14 on the season and will be back on the court Tuesday, October 23rd against Indiana University-East at 7:00 p.m.

- McKenzi Kumpf led the team with 19 kills and tallied 14 digs
- Gabriella Slagle and Monica Mack each finished with 11 kills a piece
- Pamela Dorman finished with 21 digs
Looking Ahead...
SMWC has four more contests left this season, including two home matches. Currently, the Pomeroys are expected to earn a top-four seed in the 2018 USCAA Volleyball National Tournament in Virginia Beach, Va.
