#PomeroyWXC Turns in Season Best 5k Times at St. Louis

SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's cross country team finished 10th at Saturday's St. Louis College of Pharmacy Fall Classic. The 5k race was SMWC's final meet of the season, as the Pomeroys will now turn their eye towards nationals on November 11.

SMWC finished 10th out of 13 teams on Saturday with all five runners turning in their best 5k times of the season. Junior Cheyenn Wright led the way with SMWC's only top 25 finish at 24th. Wright paced the Pomeroys with a time of 20:36.7, while senior Sarah Wichman finished 29th with a time of 20:48.7.

Freshman Corrissa Proctor finished 42nd with a time of 21:42.1, while sophomore Teresa Dudley finished with a time of 22:57.1 and freshman Elizabeth Trausch finished with a time of 25:35.0.

The Pomeroys will now head to Virginia Beach, Va., to run at USCAA Nationals on November 11. Nationals will be a 6k race starting at 9:30 a.m. For more on USCAA nationals visit the nationals homepage
