SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. – Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College head women's cross country coach Zach Whitkanack is excited to announce the signing of Hanna Camden to the 2017-18 class.
"I am looking forward to coaching Hanna next year," stated coach Whitkanack. "She is a wonderful young lady and will be a great representative of our cross country program. Hanna has a lot of talent, and I think we will see big improvements in her times in the future."
Camden, who will graduate from Linton-Stockton High School, is a National Honors Society member, Academic Honors Club student and a Hoosier Girls State Delegate.
Camden has also seen great success outside of the classroom. She qualified for regionals all four years of high school and was named her team's most valuable runner all four years. Camden was named all-conference in 2015 and all-county in 2014. She was an all-conference honorable mention selection in 2014 and 2016.
"I am beyond excited to be running cross country with the Pomeroys next year," stated Camden. "I am looking forward to making friendships and helping to achieve goals with my teammates. I think that SMWC has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I fell in love with the campus after my first visit, and I can't wait to further my education at The Woods."
Camden is an undecided major and the daughter of Heather and Eric Van Horan and Johnny and Michelle Camden.
