Club Sports at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College provides a rich campus life experience for students in a team and individual sports in a recreational or competitive atmosphere. In addition to the pure fun of the sport or the excitement of competition, you’ll experience important life skills in leadership, organization, goal setting, and other transferable skills.
Each sport is guided by a head coach or instructor. Some clubs may require try-outs for participation while other sports may have open membership.
This club brings together students of all areas of study passionate about bikes, racing, and community. We welcome cyclists of all abilities and experience. The club also advocates for safe and responsible cycling practices. It offers students great coaching in a 300-acre full spectrum bike park in southern Vigo County. Griffin Bike Park is the home of SMWC’s Cycling Club.

The SMWC rowing team is affectionately known as SMWC Crew. Rowing gives energetic, and motivated students the opportunity to engage in a sport that defines teamwork. The Crew is the first collegiate rowing program in the Wabash Valley. We compete in fall and spring rowing seasons against other Division I college rowing programs. No rowing experience is required.
