Head Hunt Seat Coach | 2014 - Present
Tabatha Taylor is entering her fifth year at the helm of the hunt seat program. In conjunction with leading the hunt seat team, she serves as an instructor in the equine department.
The Hunt Seat team has been Reserve Champion in Zone 7, Region 1 for the past three consecutive years and Taylor has led three or more individuals to the postseason each year.
Under Taylor's direction, Kindra Gingerich finished as the Reserve Champion at IHSA Nationals; this is the highest placing the Hunt Seat team has ever seen. Due to their strong performance this year, the team has been invited to compete at the Tournament of Champions at Findlay in 2020.
Taylor brings an M.S. in Animal Science and teaching experience from Oklahoma State University. In addition to that formal education, she has more than 20 years of experience in the horse show industry all over the United States.
She is a current member of the United States Equestrian Federation/United States Hunter Jumper Association and the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA).
Taylor has judged equine shows regularly in Indiana and Illinois since 2016. She also shows in both AQHA and USEF and attends at least one judge's seminar every year. She is the western regional rep for our IHSA region.
Last year, she finished in the Top Ten in the JR Working Hunter at the AQHA World show. Previously, she road and taught at KTE, Brynn Mawr Riding Camp, AQHA, OSU, and WTAMU.
