Day One of the USCAA Men's Golf National Championship Cancelled (Inclement Weather)

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) has announced Day 1 of the 2019 Men's Golf National Championship has been cancelled due to inclement weather. A portion of the Penn State Blue Course is underwater and multiple holes are unplayable. The grounds crew will work hard today to ensure the course is in tip-top shape for tee-off at 9:00 a.m. ET tomorrow morning.

The Pomeroys will play 18 holes and at the end of the day, the USCAA will crown its 2019 National Champion.

Head coach Abe Nasser said, "The guys are disappointed about today's cancellation. They came prepared for the elements with umbrellas, rain suits, and towels. They knew it would be a challenge but they're a mentally tough group and would've thrived under the circumstances. We have to refocus and shift our thought process to an 18 hole championship mindset. We will meet to discuss strategy and prepare for tomorrow's round. They will be ready to compete."
