Game #11 | vs. Brescia University

Quote | #4 Hollie Jones

What it felt like to hit her first career inside the park home run...

"When I slapped the ball, it went to center field and I thought I was going to line out. When I saw it go over her head I felt like it was my opportunity to get as many bases as possible. Rounding third and Mike telling me to go home brought excitement but also nervousness. Obviously, if the coach says to go then he believes I can make it. Ultimately, I trust him and his decision. Running home I felt like it was going to be a close play. I was thinking, how is the ball not already in. Being able to say I got an in the park home-run feels great but being able to help put more runs on the board overall benefits the team! We can always use insurance runs."

Quote | Head Coach Mike Andrew

On the great pitching by Taylor Andrew and Katelynn Kennedy...

"Both were pitchers today not just throwers. They each mixed up pitches very well and the defense played well behind them."

What his message was to the team after the game...

"They need to play this way all of the time, they played with enthusiasm and energy."

Whether or not he knew Hollie Jones was going to score on her inside the park home run...

"Oh yeah, it was a done deal."
