On signing Morgan...

"Morgan is a very versatile player and we are looking for her to bring some of that flexibility to the team. Morgan provides a very high ceiling for her ability to help us from a defensive perspective. Quote | Makayla Watts

On playing for the Pomeroys next season…

"As a play[er] of only 3 years I've been on only 3 teams (1 HS, 2 Club) but I've never been more excited to be a part of a volleyball team as I am this one. I'm so amazed by how well the other teammates and I already bond! I can't wait to win that National Championship as a Pomeroy! I would like to thank my parents, my coaches (specifically Rhonda Howell and Drew Naber), and every one of my friends and family for always pushing me to be my best, I'm proud to we finally made it."

On signing Makayla…

"I am excited to get Makayla back on the floor. Early in her college career, she was knocked off track by some physical obstacles. With those out of the way, I am expecting Makayla to bring an explosiveness to the court and a great attitude to the locker room. We are very excited to add Makayla to the mix."

On signing her National Letter-of-Intent to play Volleyball for the Pomeroys…

"I'm grateful for this opportunity to be able to continue both my academic and volleyball career at SMWC. The staff and my teammates have both been very welcoming and helpful during this process. I look forward to my time here at the Woods and cannot wait to see what the future holds!"

On signing Ashley...

"Ashley is going to provide some stability to our defensive posture. Her calm and quiet demeanor hides a competitive fire that we will be drawing out. Our team has been very offensively minded from the beginning and I hope to continue that by providing a higher level of defense and improved passing. Ashley will be integral to our success in that."
